New info from RSPB reveals last known location of this young Hen Harrier was on a grouse moor between Reeth & Redmire on NE side of Yorkshire Dales National Park, before she disappeared in suspicious circumstances.

If you had reported Red Kites, a pair of Ravens and a White-tailed Eagle around the Cleveland boundary three years ago people might have asked what hallucagenic drug you were using! Well the drugs worked just fine today with all three showing well @teesbirds.bsky.social @nybirdnews.bsky.social

One of the two immature White-tailed Eagles, that had been mucking about on Teesside today, flew over the Sleddale chevrons late afternoon on route to it's presumed roost area @teesbirds.bsky.social @nybirdnews.bsky.social @northyorksbirds.bsky.social

Despite nearby shooting by the Custodians of the Countryside Sleddale produced Hobby, Marsh Harrier, Red Kites, Common Buzzards, Sparrowhawk & Kestrels this morning. Also several Swifts over and loads of hirundines @teesbirds.bsky.social @nybirdnews.bsky.social @northyorksbirds.bsky.social

A large pale headed falcon interacting with several Kites over Sleddale this afternoon presented an interesting id challenge. Eventually came closer and allowed me to fairly confidently id it as an adult Saker. No sign of jessies or rings but unlikely to have come from the Eastern European steppes!

1/2 Brill afternoon with the 2 imm WTE in Farndale. One watched eating a rabbit with 5 Red Kite in attendance plus a very brave Magpie trying to snatch a bite! A nearby sheep looked very bemused.

Great to see an Osprey fly up Sleddale late afternoon before moving off towards High Cliff Nab. Also 3 Red Kites at the Yorkshire end @teesbirds.bsky.social @nybirdnews.bsky.social @northyorksbirds.bsky.social

White-tailed Eagle soared high up above the Lion Inn on Blakey Ridge at 10:00 before heading off towards Rosedale Head @nybirdnews.bsky.social @northyorksbirds.bsky.social

The Eagle guys have informed me that this was male G602 fledged from I of W in 2024 so a different bird to the one frequenting the Sleddale area.
