I don't understand apps that don't want you to use the app. What's the point of having an app?

I’ve unmasked a white nationalist fight club in my city: Montreal.

After weeks of work (with help!), I can reveal an Olympian as a member of the Frontenac Active Club — one who, unbeknownst to the owners, brought them to a local gym for training and propaganda photos.

Here’s my investigation:

Because at a store level — again for an entire city & surrounding area — SPM was an absolute nightmare.

On the flip, EVERYONE wanted FIN, ATLA, EOE & BLB. DSK & TDM even had more demand. And when I left, ECL was looking HOT.

I cannot believe at all SPM is Top 10 unless they're being disingenuous.

What does this all mean?

If WotC wants to claim it was a best selling set — which is an absolute joke — its because they're lying about their numbers one way or another.

Either there is lying internally or they're fudging their numbers for corporate or they oversold to distros & called it a day.

It was a game of Hot Potato. We were all just passing around these SPM boxes no one could offload.

We offered SPM drafts at cost to no takers.

I can't stress enough how no one wanted this product.

And again, this wasn't just my LGS, this was most of the LGSes in my city and some surrounding area.

My store and every other store in my city would be chatting with each other trying to offload SPM on each other.

Hey, you need these Pokemon boxes? Cool, we'll sell them to you if you agree to buy one of our SPM boxes.

You have One Piece product we need? Yes, we'll buy it from you and your SPM box

Small stores (like the one I worked at) get the remainders . The dredges. So in order to get more product we want, we're FORCED to buy product we don't.

Want more boxes of Edge or Lorwyn? Now you have to buy 2 cases of SPM. Don't want to? Too bad. Bye bye boxes you need. They go to other stores now

Instead, you have to play this game with distributors where you have to buy more of the previous set or you get less of the next.

This goes further when they have stores they prefer: Big vs. Small stores.

Big store get "first dibs" & can buy out stock & hurt small stores. Only they have product.

you bought 20 of the previous set (FIN, good luck there). 10 EOE only gets you >10 for SPM. In this case, you don't care. You want 0 anyway, right?

Great. You're only getting a box or 2 of Avatar then. Cause you bought 0 SPM.

Stores can't just order what they need. You get punished if you try.

Distributors force us to buy a certain allotment of product otherwise they reduce our numbers for the next one.

Example using simple numbers: you want 10 boxes of Edge, 0 boxes of Spidey and 10 of Avatar? You can't do that. Like you literally can't.

You can only get 10 boxes of Edge if...

I just finished a stint working at an LGS. Finished right as Lorwyn hit so I was there for Spider-Man.

No one wanted it. And when I say no one, I don't just mean my LGS, I mean my whole city & surrounding areas.

Here's the thing: WotC sells to distributors (The Devils) & they sell to us, the LGSes
