Honestly I have 4 unfinished fanfics for every one that ever makes it online, sometimes I take years to write them, I only do it when I feel like it, and since it's mostly gen I know most people aren't gonna read it anyhow. It's cozy!

I write fanfiction under a name maybe two of my closest friends know and it's almost exclusively gen

Creatives deserve to be paid for their work but having a single creative outlet that's disconnected from my career and completely non-monetizable is so so important for my artistic sanity
