Sorry, I have been off the grid. All threats from the US to destroy Canada are really tiresome and exhausting. Here are the latest socks I've been knitting π§Ά

Good for it! I didn't even look at the requirements and just used the yarn and needles I always use. As long as all your yarn is fingering weight and your needles are somewhere between 2.5 and 3 mm, you're good!

06.02.2025 12:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Haha thanks! I'm surprised too. I want to do more colorwork because I want to improve my tension :)

First crocus mitten is done! The thumb is not completely invisible but I'm happy with it. Still have to take care of all the ends. Pattern from Knit Like a Latvian. π§Ά

04.02.2025 15:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I am so sorry! This is really heartbreaking :( I hope they'll take back the tariffs!

03.02.2025 16:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think folks in Canada are really mad at Trump (and probably those who voted for him) and not Americans in general. Yes, it is an important friendship.
03.02.2025 15:56 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes, it's a shame!
03.02.2025 15:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm sorry! I hope Americans are able to resist as much as possible.
03.02.2025 15:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I agree! Everyone loses!
03.02.2025 15:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Dear Knitpicks team, it is with a very heavy heart that I'm writing this email. Given the Trump tariffs on Canada, I won't be able to support you as an American business at this time.
Sent a message to one of my favourite yarn companies this morning π’ just felt like I needed to do and say something. π§Άπ¨π¦

Yes, I'm knitting in the round with magic loop. It works just as well as on dpns. My book says it's written for dpn but can be knit on circulars. The only time dpns are even mentioned is during the thump and it's easily translated to circulars π

Has anybody started a thread on #Canadian yarn?
Thought it might be good to have as a knitter in Canada, impacted by the disgusting unnecessary trade war started by the fascist down south ππ¨π¦ β€οΈπ§Ά

Thanks so much for taking the time to explain π I'm not sure what I did, but I'm a very tight knitter, so maybe that helped in this case?
