Not to be pedantic, but "delayed" sounds like it got hung up. It didn't--they just moved it to the October release slot because it's a better fit. The October slot used to be occupied by "Remain"...which DID get delayed to next year.

That is certainly the reason! Although cinemas have been able to show it for 2-3 weeks continuously, they weren't forced to, and the local manager may have determined more showtimes weren't beneficial to them.

Begging your pardon, but was this in the US or UK? In the US, the trilogy has been back on screens for over two full weeks. For an "old" title to get a multiweek engagement is extremely rare, so this re-release is very robust! (I worked on it).

I also dislike movies with unlikeable characters, usually. It's why I didn't love Anora, last year's best picture winner. Very few likeable people.

Yes, both options are bad, but not equally. Kamala would have been better for Palestine. With Trump, things are much worse, and everyone who didn't vote for Kamala contributed to that. Maybe those people thought making a point was more important than saving lives. Not me.
