I agree! It was a much richer performance than any trailer or clip would suggest, and her singing was really beautiful. She captured the grounded, gritty joy I see in a lot of my family & friends.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing your mom’s wisdom and spirit with your readers here. Reading about her efforts to resist made me feel braver and my heart lighter. I hope your best memories with her come to mind when you need them most.
