I never followed any of them in the first place. They never did anything that made me think to myself “hey, there’s someone who’s doing great things, who has principles, so I should pay attention to what they have to say”. And apparently I was right.

There are too many people working hard but struggling

There are too many essential jobs that don't pay livable wages.

The economy is not only about stock prices, the Forbes rankings, and shiny start-ups. It’s strong only when it’s fair.

My exact feelings

An estimated 15.7 million workers use SNAP. It’s a lifeline for those in low-wage jobs.

Meanwhile, CEOs are paid 280x as much as the typical worker.

Don’t be angry at workers for using food stamps.

Be angry at the corporations paying them so little that they need them.

Amazon is helping fund a $300 million build of a ballroom for the White House.

Independent bookstores are donating to food banks and organizations that help with food insecurity.

They are not the same.

Walmart set to lose billions from SNAP benefits stopping in November The government has confirmed that the food assistance payments will stop on November 1 as a result of the ongoing shutdown.

Gee look.
Now they care.

I called this weeks ago.
This is proof that boycotts work.
As able, boycott Walmart, as best you can.

When they are set to lose up to 10 billion dollars, in one month, all of a sudden shareholders take notice.

With all of these people being laid off and fired, I hope the program can remain solvent and functional.

We blame trump (bc he’s evil, he’s the head of the snake, so he shares the blame) but Congress could release those funds and they’re not. Ultimately they could stop a lot of what he’s doing, but they’re not. It’s insane.

I work for a health insurance company, and to get my foot in the door I started in their call center in 2014. Every time a caller referred to the ACA as Obamacare I would casually refer to it as the ACA, bc come on, it’s the ACA. Doubtful I swayed anyone to change, but I tried.
