Did following a proper channel... work? I realize they would have gotten there eventually, but it was still really bad even this morning, and many other streets are still nightmare fuel, so I think it's okay to claim a little win. Nobody who could claim otherwise will ever know. 😅

It could be a little post hoc ergo proctor hoc, but, after hearing about the post-blizzard neglect of my mom's street and many cars getting stuck, I took it upon myself to file a report on the city's SeeClickFix page, and, around 16 hours later, the street has finally been plowed down to pavement.

All the stuff coming out now kind of explains those instincts. 😬

I keep thinking about it, because while I, in my early 20s, didn't feel weird about shopping there, it bugged me that my 12 year old cousin was also shopping there thanks to the Pink line.

Something always felt a little bit "off" about the Victoria's Secret Pink line, its marketing, and the promo items they would give away (little plush dogs).

I couldn't quite put my finger on it, because *I* like stuffed animals, but I understood that most other adults weren't collecting plushies.

Watching it I was brought back to how amazing it felt to see the ballroom scene, especially when it pans to the ceiling, for the first time. That's a feeling I still feel from decades ago and now share with them. Seems worth something.

Actually, I just stopped at my brother's after work, and he had just started Beauty and the Beast with the kids (Belle's dad had just arrived at the castle). The 3 yo was cuddled up to the almost 6 yo with a blanket over all but his eyes at the "scary" parts.

You wouldn't be able to convince me those weren't applied by makeup right before they went onscreen.

Also kids have access to like all the cool stuff we did plus Bluey, K Pop Demon Hunters, Encanto, and other fun things that will be their nostalgia fuel when they grow up. You just have to wrestle them away from YouTube first sometimes. 😅

One thing that immediately strikes me is that video games were a big bonding experience with friends and relatives when we were kids. The messaging sounds like someone who never kicked their brother's ass at Mario Kart or helped a younger sibling get through the hard part of a game.

I have both the regular size and mini Janeway, lol.
