I put a post out early this morning after the war started & made a sarcastic joke that Trump would probably be putting out $2 million/plate dinners while he manages the war on Iraq.

Turns out it's NOT A JOKE. Trump is having a fundraiser at Mar-A-Lago tonight.

Let. that. fucking. sink. in.

Powerful voices may say things like slowing down the eviction machine "does nothing to solve the problem" and this couldn't be further from the truth. Time is a huge factor when it's comes to evictions and more time means more opportunities to raise money to stay in their home.

90% of evictions in MN are for nonpayment of rent. I did a sample a week ago and found the avg nonpayment eviction in Hennepin County would take $5,122 to stop. Studies (before the high inflation of the past few years) suggest stopping an eviction saves $6,832 in public costs. It just makes sense

They Built It. Now They Want to Bomb It. Today's Iran crisis didn't start with just the mullahs. It started with a secret deal that Republican operatives made with themβ€” a deal that changed history and may now lead to war.

Staggering.

Same here. And was ready to vote for him again. I knew what would happen with a second Trump term.

Biden did a disservice to Harris by dithering: he crippled her messaging from the start. He did a lot of positive things, but he waffled on some very important things.

Only a bunch of morons would believe that the ruling class in Iran doesn’t have a detailed succession plan for their 86yo leader. And by bunch of morons, I mean Republicans.

01.03.2026 04:39 β€” πŸ‘ 65    πŸ” 20    πŸ’¬ 4    πŸ“Œ 1

Schumer has stated repeatedly that ensuring aid continues to flow to Israel is his highest priority. And yet he keeps on getting re-elected.

I constantly knock on MAGA for being gullible morons because they are, but holy shit, democratic voters are barely better most of the time.

01.03.2026 04:38 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Let's not forget that Schumer and many of the other Old Guard Dems that have been around forever voted for the Iraq War. They have never been on the side of human rights when it comes to this stuff, it is a big part of the reason why primarying the old guard is so important.

I voted for Biden. I liked Biden.

But holy fuck, did he have some EPIC failures. COVID, Gaza, Ukraine, and last but certainly not least, prosecution of Trump and his supporters.

In many ways, his unwillingness to address the crimes of the previous administration is why we are where we are today.

01.03.2026 04:35 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Absolutely. All because the MAGAs convinced him that backing Ukraine would trigger a war. So instead of trying to support a democracy, ally and sovereign state, he waffled and dithered.

No better than the knob in there now who thinks Russia is a friend and will let them do what they want.

People really struggling with the idea that the Iranian government sucks but we shouldn't be bombing them can both be true, eh?

28.02.2026 21:41 β€” πŸ‘ 6294    πŸ” 960    πŸ’¬ 129    πŸ“Œ 81

The real story is that foreign govts try to "interfere" all the time. In 2020 and 2024 we had mechanisms to catch them, call them out, & mitigate damage. Now, those mechanims are gone & the Trump admin would prefer to exploit "foreign interference" to justify a federal take-over of elections.

The Congo Basin – lungs of Africa and one of the world’s largest carbon sinks sequesters more COβ‚‚ than many realize, supports 75+ million people, and harbors irreplaceable biodiversity.
From Cameroon to DRC,these forests feed rain across the continent.

We must defend them

The Law of War I am not a law of war expert.

What does it mean if the administration's strike on Iran wasn't lawful? It's not an abstract debate. First principles, like the rule of law, determine whether we live in a country governed by laws or by impulse. open.substack.com/pub/joycevan...

There couldn’t be a clearer example of Biden’s cowardice than his unwillingness to intervene in Ukraine and his half-hearted support through arms whose use he blocked from targets inside Russia.
