Researchers found that certain neural signals related to error processing were altered in mothers with depression and were linked to similar patterns in their daughters.

In this study, we investigated EEG markers of error monitoring among mother-daughter dyads. About half of those mothers had a history of recurrent major depressive disorder (MDD).
