At the first Ottawa Tool Library #repaircafé of the 2025 season I went 5-3-2, back to batting .500 again!

Finally got hands on a breadblaster (repair café rite of passage), and it as a posh one...a Zwilling.

First one at City Hall. Household items I repaired successfully: iron, blender, heating pad, pedestal fan, floor heater. Missed on the panini press, Kindle, coffee urn, dremel tool, and toaster oven

Household items I repaired successfully: outdoor fairy upright cordless vacuum, and bullet mixer. Missed on the lamp, headphones, dehumidifier, nespresso, hoverboard, Dyson fan, and kettle.

Household items I repaired successfully: vintage guitar effect pedal, radio, blender, steam pan, kettle, fan, lamp, vacuum. Missed on the mixer, pressure washer, shop vac, other kettle. The radio was really cool and was brought from Egypt. Seemed to have sentimental value to the owner, so really glad I could fix the power switch.

Household items I repaired successfully: radio, LED floor lamp, clock radio, bluetooth headphones. Missed on the printer, iPhone, watch, stapler, and dremel. Loved giving the vintage Sony Dream Machine alarm clock a service. After 30 years all it needed was some contact cleaner.

I volunteer at the Ottawa Tool Library Repair Cafés as one of ~20 fixer/menders. They are really well-run events, with many in attendance. I am currently batting .476 this year, with 42 tickets seen.

✅ = Great Success! Very nice!
