The iconic purple-flowered tree famously lining the streets of Mexico City during spring is the Jacaranda (Jacaranda mimosifolia). Introduced in the 1920s-30s, these trees bloom with vibrant lavender-purple, trumpet-shaped flowers, often while bare of leaves, usually from March to April.

So it ends up I have eyes with multiple colors. They call this 'heterochromia' and it occurs in less than 1% of the population. It can even include having eyes of two different colors. I'm still not sure what color my eyes are, but I think I list 'em as 'green' on my driver's license. #irisportraits

Iknowright?! Enzo's had a Martini Monday night and I realized I'd never had one. I went with a Hendrix gin martini - dirty with two olives. LOVED IT!
