If you somehow need more evidence of how broken Google is (I KNOW, I need to find time to transition), I tried to visit @endlessmode.bsky.social and literally could not find it in Google results, only other pages linking to them.

It was very much 'slice of life' in the sense of zeroing on a bunch of disparate moments of culture but without the gel to hold the bigger picture together. I do regret not trying the dry erase cave painting expansion before selling it on.

I've been meaning to revisit Trajan, but yeah, much more cohesive ways of adding scoring systems without needing whole new mechanisms.

I liked it on the first play exploring the different systems but then got so bored on each subsequent play when friends asked me to teach when there's no cohesion or interactivity between the systems. It's the 7 later dip of game design.

Oh if I'd seen this as a teen I would have imploded.

Yeah I've not seen them for a long time but my sense was that they're *fine* as companions to the books but don't really work on their own as an entry to that world.

Yeah I don't think a one-to-one adaptation works unless you already know the jokes, which is partly where the previous sky films failed. It takes a lot more work to bring the spirit of Discworld in a way approachable to non-fans (which I think the Hitchhiker's film largely achieves)

GenCon has always been a good reminder of the privileges in being able to regularly attend such conventions. But it's doubly so now when so many aren't safe traveling to the US. I'd love to see more publishers and communities finding ways to extend opportunities for networking and accessing info.

That was something that struck me in reading the TTRPG quickstart which struck a good tone, absurd characters who don't KNOW that they're absurd, being serious in the face of ridiculous circumstance.
