If there was a particular lecture you were looking forward to, I would probably allow it if your symptoms were mild enough. Which mine are. And I am studying medicine, I would know.

As a matter of fact caffeine boosts the effectiveness of some over the counter pain killers such as ibuprofen and paracetamol, and it is even advised to pair them in certain cases.
In other words: It would have been perfectly safe.

Or I missed valuable educational time, with my favourite professor who was talking about bones. Which would have been very interesting to witness, mind you.
But no, I stayed at home and had to just read the book.

Oh, absolutely not. But exclusively because if you are given even a little leeway, you become a boulder on a slippery slope and basically unstoppable. I would not do such a thing, I simply want to go to see my favourite professor talk about bones.

I did say that, but admittedly the lecture I am missing today is interesting and the professor presenting is actually capable.
Some Ibuprofen, paracetamol, caffeinated tea, and I should be good to go.

A lecture is not a strenuous activity, therefore if wearing a mask to avoid making others sick, I personally while not advising it, would have nothing against a patient attending a simple lecture to keep up with their studies while in a similar condition to mine.
