Best of PGH - Ballot
Best of Pittsburgh is Pittsburgh City Paper's annual readers' poll, featuring the city's favorite categories in Goods and Services, Food and Drink, Cultural and Nightlife, and People and Places.
Loud & Proud Music Festival (organized by Candrika & J., with the help of MANY friends) is up for City Paper's BEST MUSIC FESTIVAL. π
This is a grassroots LGBTQ+ fest, and winning this would go a long way toward gaining support for our fundraising efforts.

Hulu Adapting βMidnight Sonβ Audiobook Into βBlood & Mythβ True-Crime Doc
The streamer is launching Blood & Myth, a doc that explores a series of shocking violent crimes that shattered a remote native village in Northern Alaska.
Hey hey, this is my cousin, James Dommek. He fricking rocks (as do all his siblings). He wrote a book and co-produced the audiobook version. Hulu picked it up and it'll be out this September! I can't tell from the story if it's an episode or a miniseries or a movie, but I'm looking forward to it!

Many sharks have countershading colors.
Countershading consists of a darker color on the top (dorsal) side of the fish and a lighter color on the bottom (ventral) side. This helps sharks blend into the dark ocean floor when viewed from above, and the bright sky when viewed from below.

(There is more nuance to this, but this is the basics.)

A quick distinction, they are venomous. Poison is when something is typically ingested. Venom is typically injected via puncture/wound.
Most venom producing animals have specific venom glands, but I am not positive on how these sharks create and produce venom.
