I do think Invincible is the best one presented here as it actually matches the later style of Cory Walker who was Invincible's first artists & designed a majority of the characters.

The dcau is kinda weird as much of it was based on the new 52 and specifically Jim Lee's style

Least with it, it originally WAS an anime along with the fottage from other shows it spliced in, as later on with Robotech, with everything afterwards being original series.

was also recently reminded of these old covers I did of Akira and Jun. Akira's unhinged jaw was based around some Darkside art and some renders advertising the Ps1 Devil game coming out at the time.

The hard part of drawing Akira in devil form is that I usually prefer to draw his head wings & crest as being more exoskeleton-like like in Darkside & related series and deciding how much shading it should have as a result.

an another older devil piece of Akira roaring that was actually done relatively quick at the time. Teeth were mostly based on Amon's look in the first Darkside volume and just not a fan of Akira just having generic pointed teeth, so tried something more realistic.

Akira's pants were also based on some that had bat wings attached to them. Way back I had a digital sketch of him wearing them but never finished.

Came up with the idea of reading some Spawn stuff (issue numbers at the bottom) and another idea of whether animals would be scared of him, The Omen style, or some drawn to him because of Amon's own demonology traits.

Akira with Amon's Beasts

Akira with various animals that the original Amon from Demonology associated with, Snakes, Wolves, and various birds tho decided to go with ravens. Also going for a design more similar to Akira's pre-amon look from crybaby.

Think it was kinda funny for that one recent "Sega does what Nintendon't" type commerical considering like, its still gonna be released on the Switch 2 considering ppl still want one for when they're not at home
