In the budget process the Scottish Liberal Democrats secured £1.4 million over two years for Corseford College which supports adults with complex and additional needs, pending the outcome of a review. I asked the further education minister for an update.

Speed camera on Paisley road finally operational following tragic death The Brediland Road camera – situated 50 metres north of the junction with Inverkar Drive – came into formal use on Monday following a campaign to improve safety on the road.

Great news out of Edinburgh Uni seeing Liberalism return to the university campus.

I look forward to seeing more new @youngliberalsuk.bsky.social taking the Scottish party by storm with new ideas.

The list maths can get complicated but generally you are talking 6-7% across the whole region to have a good chance at getting a seat.

So don't get me wrong, still got lots to do but the boundary changes moving Hamilton into the South Scotland region where we are more likely to make that target.

The by-election was discussed and while disappointment in the drop in vote it sadly was to be expected in a election with a tough squeeze.

Still a number of positive conversations were had on the doors, with the list vote next year being a real opportunity to elect a Lib Dem MSP for the area.

Yesterday there was a good turnout at the Glasgow Lib Dems annual lunch with great speeches from @cajardinemp.bsky.social and Aisha Mir.

After another good group out at pint and politics earlier in the week, it is good to see the optimism of the team in Glasgow for the coming years.
