While A23a is still stuck multiple smaler icebergs have broken off recently. A23b, or what is left of it, is a bit further east and has broken into multiple pieces.

14.04.2025 07:17 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0In the early morning of April 12th, a fairly large part of A23a broke off, the new iceberg has a length of about 18.5 km (~10 NM) and a surface of about 116 kmยฒ and is currently drifting east towards the southern point of South Georgia.
