Montana Congressman Ryan Zinke performed the ceremonial pinning of the medals.[3][17] Sheehy has said that questioning whether he was shot in Afghanistan is "tantamount to falsely accusing him of stolen valor",[12] but has declined to release his medical records[18][19] and said there are no records showing he was shot in Afghanistan.[20][21][22][23] Sheehy left active duty in 2014 and was discharged from the Navy Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) in 2019.[24] He wrote in his memoir and in a resume submitted to the Montana State Legislature that he had been medically discharged due to wounds received in Afghanistan. In October 2024, an NBC News review of Sheehy's discharge paperwork found that Sheehy voluntarily resigned from commission, contradicting his claims that he was discharged from the military because of injuries he sustained on duty.

Many US states *have* no provisions for recall of *any* elected official--and it is an unanswered question whether federal elected officials (such as Congresspersons or Senators) can be recalled (the Constitution technically doesn't provide for any remedy except impeachment & removal)

Bring charges against Sheehy.

He's not a law enforcement officer. LEOs are literally right there. The protestor has no weapon.

Reminder that Sheehy replaced Tester, who lost re-election and is one helluva guy and yeah Montana farked that one up royally.

Senator is the guy in the suit who rushed and pulled on the Marine. The cops/security were also struggling with him (and later handled him really roughly) but the Senator swooping in and pushing hard is when the arm broke.

Tim Sheehy should resign RIGHT NOW and face assault and battery charges. There was no reason for him to break the hand of the Marine who was not only exercising his constitutional rights, but was already being safely removed by security. Absolutely vile.

🤷‍♀️ Should be! His arm was stuck before Sheehy started yanking on him. A reasonable adult should’ve realized that what he was doing wouldn’t have dislodged his arm, and would’ve risked breaking it instead.
