1) the channels people wanted to receive info: why didn't the metro speakers say anything for example?
2) there was no addressing of what might be expected beliefs or behaviors based on past experiences. (E.g. getting cars from garages)
3) in general risk communication was an afterthought

We did some interviews post deadly flash floods in Eastern Spain a year ago about what people wanted on flood risk communications. Not many surprises here for people that work on this and there were key political failures but couple things I thought were interesting:

Umm ok, so I guess we are expecting more of these? (not sure how much that is supposed to be reassuring...) *every United pilot is trained for a wide range of potential issues, including radar or communications outages*.
