Just like a year late.

I’m honored to be recognized as the 2026 First Place recipient of the Bryon and Gwen Johnson Immunobiology Scholarship at Iowa State University!

This award recognizes research/academic merit and contributions to my graduate program community.

However, many fear retaliation by the administration more than they fear the loss of credibility.

Half of the US will vehemently oppose the use of our military against our neighbors.

Many of us encounter anti-vaccine advocates. One of their most common tactics is the Gish Gallop - a flood of half-truths, anecdotes, and irrelevant claims designed to overwhelm rather than debate honestly. Sadly, can be highly effective on people not well versed in vaccine science.

As an immunology graduate student, I feel uneasy and sad. I wanted to work in government, but now I feel as though that door is closed. Jobs, post docs, and other roles will be slim due to the increased competition by young unemployed scientists and a lack of funding if things continue. Its just sad

Iowa has just moved to ban mRNA vaccines and therapeutics via state legislation.

We’ve trashed ourselves.

Europe needs to take over where we fail.

RFK Jr. is trying to rebrand his anti-vax extremism as “vaccine safety.” His years of fearmongering have led to falling vaccination rates, deadly measles outbreaks, and COVID misinformation. Giving him control over HHS is a public health disaster in the making.
