Brought to us via This Is Not A Drill: a toilet with the words "no trans segregation" & "where do we go now?" was left at the Labour Party office. Our MP Daniel Zeichner both-sideses emails about fascist nu-wave transphobia so we empathise with whoever did this!

I've had extensive conversations with Daniel Zeichner about the EHRC guidance and he just...does nothing. Seems I'm not the only one who is underwhelmed by his failure to speak up for his constituents who are facing segregation.

Thorts brought to you in particular by seeing in the news that a parent is trying to sue Girl Guides because letting in trans kids "exposes girls to harassment" or some shit. The only way I know to stave off the dread is to put the opposite energy into the world every opportunity I get.

All through the year, there are covid safe ways for trans folks in the Cambridge area to just Enjoy Nice Things, and I think that's extremely special.

I am continually impressed by just how much TLC does with a pretty modest budget - if you're able to chip in at all to their costs, I can guarantee even a small sum of money goes a really long way.

So that long walk lead me to a great deal of affection for something goofy and silly that the community named itself. Suspect one day that opinion will evolve, but for now, I enjoy the goofiness of it.

And like, it's hard! No one gives you a dx and then tells you 'hey these words we now use to describe you will also oppress you/others', and to a young person who was really struggling, the words they gave me felt like a lifeline
