anyways i never read the original so i might just be talking out of my ass but we’ll see.

It probably stings more because there’s no blood relation between saon and his grandfather, yet everyone is finding similarities in the two of them that saon’s dad lacks and he HATES that.

of her lost son. his dad on the other hand HATES him because he’s so similar to his grandfather. saon’s + dad’s reaction to heejoo’s dad comparing him to his father proves he has deep rooted jealousy because he doesn’t have what it takes to be president. +

my thoughts of saon and his parents relationship:
saon is adopted/ a replacement child for his parents dead (?) son, thats why his mom forces him to eat certain things to seem more like their first son. She doesn’t hold as much malice towards saon but probably resentment because
