Let’s see, a new pinned post maybe.

I am an illustrator and I also make pictures with my own hands for animation and games sometimes.

Today, I went for a kintsugi workshop 🥰

First, we file down the edges.
After that, we glue the pieces back together.
Next, remove excess glue with a cotton bud.
Then stick masking tape on both sides of the crack.

it turned out rly pretty!! :D do you not have to put any kind of varnish over the top of the powdered gold after, or is the lacquer enough to fix it in place?

my heart goes out to all the innocent people suffering from circumstances out of their control right now 🙏

i'd love to see the original slav epic paintings in person sometime 🥺

i was also very lucky to catch an exhibit of alphonse mucha's work at the piazza bonaparte... it took me ~2 hours to go through the 2 floors with the audioguide narration + they had some really nice interactive bits, as well as samples of perfumes paired with some of his paintings!!

just got back from a short trip to rome- it's such a beautiful city with some incredibly well-preserved architecture! 💖 one fave spot was the Galleria delle Carte Geografiche, a vatican corridor full of floor to ceiling maps! would definitely recommend anyone who worldbuilds fantasy to have a look 🗺️
