I'm really bad with finishing games, I would say it's around 1-5 games/year. I think my record is 12 since I started tracking during COVID.

359 games on Steam of which I've completed around 30-40. And by completed I mean completed the story (not cheevos).
Plus another 31 physical and probably quite a few digital on PS5. There the completion rate is probably higher due to less games owned.

I was in on the #Switch2 until I saw the game pricing. 90€ for physical copy of MK World and 80€ for digital? I am suddenly less interested. Especially the physical extra tax hurts. We are not far away from games legit costing 100€ for standard editions at this point.

Very understandable to give up on a game over something like this. I can admit The Witcher 2 and 3, Skyrim are among games that I've just not enjoyed due to combat or other specific major part of the game that ruins the whole experience for me.

If only I had the capability to finish games that I start, I say as I look at the wasteland of unfinished games like GoW Ragnarök, Metaphor ReFantazio, Avowed, MH Wilds, Roboquest, Persona 3 Reload and many others..
It's just so easy and fun to start new experiences and hard to go back to old ones.

Also #IMSA #Rolex24 Daytona qualifying happened and WRC season kicked off at Monte-Carlo. At one point I had 4 streams going on at the same time. Mad but very fun.

And then we had the @xbox.com developer direct. Great pacing, all 4 games got plenty of time and gameplay focus. Expedition 33 still looking incredible. April 24th what a great surprise. South by Midnight is also exciting and I hope it turns out great. Doom was a real surprise, I might check it out.

And the gameplay is just incredibly fun yet simple Arcade racing through and through. The Shuto Expressway is in the game and the feeling of coming down Tatsumi Junction to Bayshore Line is just incredible. This is the one people need to pick up for sure.

Today was kinda insane? #TokyoXtremeRacer launched in Early Access and what a treat this game is. It's as if someone made a PS2 game for the modern era. Looks great but not like insanely realistic or anything - does it's job. The UI and sound design is unequivocally PSX/PS2 era Japanese dev.

For sure, and it's not like it's because of the low budget alone. I've experienced the same with AAA titles as well. I just think it soured my memory and feelings about the game which is a shame. Always happy to see a game like that come from Europe and it was quite well polished too!
