Also I don't think Ankerson has been that involved for a while. And reading between the lines it seems that Kraft might have been the football voice behind the scenes. Hopefully this leads to some better times and we bounce straight back again next season #SaintsFC 2/2

With Solak now taking charge I hope we have a clear direction and some better decisions on the football side of the club. In the statement he seemed to take aim at some of those failures with a promise to improve. As well as some football appointments that will come very soon... #SaintsFC 1/2

It feels like this really shows how Juric wants to play. High fullbacks getting balls into the box and making it hard to contain them. However it's harder doing it against premier league teams #SaintsFC

Is Sulemana playing for his place or for a transfer... Looking like the player we thought we was #SaintsFC

Although today has to be a good performance

12.01.2025 16:40 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Dibling and Archer to be the scorers

12.01.2025 16:38 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I'll see after the next couple. Now he's had some time on the training ground

12.01.2025 16:38 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Even if he doesn't work out I'm not sure there is much point in changing again. We may as well just see out whatever happens and then rebuild in the summer. We will be an attractive proposition again in the championship

I'm being optimistic and going 2-0 saints with a dominating performance. For us to crumble in the league next week with our confidence back to zero.... #SaintsFC

Depends how the rest of the season goes and whether he was planning on staying in the championship. We were down before we joined

12.01.2025 11:27 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I was initially optimistic about his appointment. And it's certainly not a given he won't work out. But some improvement would go a long way today

Even though it's a cup game, today feels like a big moment for Juric. Any initial optimism was knocked back after Brentford which puts pressure on a performance today. Whether it's the players not implementing his ideas, or a more fundamental issue it doesn't really matter #SaintsFC

12.01.2025 10:34 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 3    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Well this didn't age well ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

It's a huge couple of weeks ahead now for Juric to get his ideas on the pitch and for us to see an improvement

06.01.2025 07:48 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Our confidence is at rock bottom, and has even when we got off to a bad start this season. I don't know how that's solved tbh. Maybe we should have rolled the dice sooner. But the damage is done and we need to look forward to how we can rebuild 2/2

I was always undecided about sacking Martin for quite a while. But ultimately the refusal to change when it seemed we weren't improving was the thing that swung it for me. Juric may or may not still work out, but that doesn't mean Martin should have stayed. Sometimes it just goes wrong #SaintsFC 1/2

I think we could see some surprises in the line up today based on some of Juric's comments. Could we see starts for Sulemana and Bella-Kotchap?

Will Big Les be back in the starting 11?

With Fernandes suspended it will be interesting where he goes with the front 3. Something like this? #SaintsFC

I think today we will see another improvement in style as Juric has had more time to work with the players. Then just one cup game now for the next 12 days should give him more time to implement his ideas. Although we haven't got the results it's been an encouraging start #SaintsFC

04.01.2025 10:26 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 1

Yeh that's fair. I think it would help us get early balls in from the left more. We could also see Dibling in Armstrong's place

29.12.2024 08:45 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Also was there for forest away when we got relegated form the championship and we didn't know if we would even survive as a club

I had a season ticket from the Burley years to the league two years. League two years especially were the best time as a saints fan. Did so many away days as well! Peterborough away for the 4-4 was a highlight. Such a crazy game! Wycombe away on a Tuesday for a 1-1 not so much ๐Ÿคฃ

28.12.2024 21:08 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

The only change I'd make for tomorrow would be Archer in place of Armstrong. Assuming everyone is fit enough to play again #SaintsFC

28.12.2024 19:31 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 9    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I think Archer in place of Armstrong or Dibling starting might have made a difference today. But it's early days and it'll take time

26.12.2024 23:54 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Again I don't disagree, but then be a little more pragmatic and we probably would have more points and Martin would still be here. He was heavily involved in recruitment, kept playing the same way and making the same mistakes. After Brighton I felt really positive but it didn't lead to anything

26.12.2024 23:38 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I just wonder if he scores a couple and gets some confidence he will come good

26.12.2024 23:25 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

It feels like it was a huge step forward. Maybe it won't work out, but it's worth a try

26.12.2024 23:21 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

No, but creating chances is the first step and a big step forward

26.12.2024 23:19 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I don't disagree. But given the players in front of him, and the same mistakes week in week out he could have adapted and been a little more pragmatic. I never expect us to stay up really. Statistically we were always set to go down, but I didn't expect us to be this poor and stubborn

26.12.2024 23:17 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

He's obviously low on confidence. Personally I'd like to have seen Archer in that system today, but I'd like to give Tall Paul a fair shot as well. But the fact we created those chances is an improvement

26.12.2024 23:13 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I was very torn about sacking Martin. But we just weren't giving it a go and making the same mistakes week in week out. He had a fair shot, and it's a real shame it didn't work out with him. I think he will go on and have a very successful career though. I think let's judge Juric after 4/5 games

26.12.2024 23:11 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Agree. That 8 day break will be key for getting the players into shape and comfortable with the system. Maybe it won't work, but he deserves a fair crack at it. As you say, so many chances today, and that's a huge improvement
