I've been bummed about this very thing. Especially from established and trusted sources.

I'm not quite sure which question I missed, and I'm a bit upset about it lol, still a pass is a pass :)

Technician's License in the bag. Was graded by the delightful radio group WM7X. Will get my callsign sometime next week, hopefully before my first HT arrives. π‘π»

Not to mention the blatant theft of Studio Ghibli aesthetic. :weary:

05.08.2025 17:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'm so excited for this! Going to see CR at Radio City Music Hall in October! Hoping to catch some new C4 info drops between now and then! β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ Excellent stuff!

With federal funding eliminated, millions may lose their last trusted source of news and connection.

02.08.2025 01:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0How was your week?
01.08.2025 20:09 β π 208 π 37 π¬ 7 π 13Yeah, there are 3 classes of amateur radio licenses in the US. Technician, General, and Amateur Extra. Each have different privileges, mostly around which bands you're allowed to legally transmit on and require different tests that get more involved the higher the license.
01.08.2025 15:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 06502 project has me inspired, next bit to learn is radio. Studying now (over the next few weeks) for the Technician's HAM license - then maybe some RC electronics. π€ π»

#6502
Got Wozmon up and running! π - with an assist from the beneater subreddit, where they found an issue with the schematic on the Max232 chip! Exciting. Going to experiment here for a bit then onto Basic!
27.07.2025 00:47 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Find it interesting that the Twitch web UI player bucks the norm in that you can resume by clicking anywhere on the screen (when in fullscreen or theatre mode), but in order to pause or re-pause you must find the small icon at the bottom of the player. π€ I mean, space/k for play/pause on KB at least

ACIA mostly hooked up. Still need to do the control lines so I can actually address the new chip, but gonna have to wait til next time.

Gonna start the #6502 UART module for a proper RS232 interface (so I can hook up Wozmon / Basic) this weekend.
Until then I'm starting to read some brain candy my brother recommended...the scholomance series for Naomi Novik (just a fun relaxing read hopefully):
So true! I have been pretty amazed at how information dense they are.
14.07.2025 01:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I love this so much!
13.07.2025 04:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Actually laughed out loud at this. Yes hah
12.07.2025 22:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hehe, thanks! The neatness was born out of frustration/necessity lol, though in hindsight each problem was only tangentially related to wiring (mostly from obstructing view of the control wires).
12.07.2025 22:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Can confirm re: RoR hehe.
12.07.2025 21:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Gotta say, the more I work on this the more impressed I've become with Ben Eater's teaching, really does go through each section in such a thorough and complete way. If you're curious about electronics I think this is a great start:

#BE6502 no with RAM and a proper Hello, world! program! (also slightly cleaner wiring)
12.07.2025 20:43 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0That was a great read! Subscribed to Baldur's mailing list. Thanks for sharing.
11.07.2025 01:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Reminds me of this talk I just ran into around reverse engineering the 6502. A motivator stated in the talk is emulator testing.
