The fight for Labor Day gave us freedoms we take for granted: weekends, safer workplaces, and fairer hours.

This weekend, we thank the American workers who demanded dignity in the workplace.

Labor Day started with 10,000 workers marching in NYC in 1882, demanding fair hours and safer conditions. At the time, many Americans worked 12-hour days, 7 days a week.

This weekend, we honor their courage and celebrate the workers who keep America strong.
