Perfectionism at its worst.

This spring I've been trying to slowly come up with ideas for my thesis project (next semester) and it's so hard to choose which ideas are worth even entertaining. I'd like it to be the very best I can do, so in as early stage as this, it feels like nothing is good enough. Therefore I freeze.

“Minne matka?”- sarjisratikan kyydissä matkustajat pääsevät osaksi Tampereen ainutlaatuista tarinaa. Leikkisät puhekuplat kertovat lukemattomista määränpäistä, jotka ratikalla voi saavuttaa. Sarjakuville tyypilliseen tapaan piirretyt efektit korostavat ratikan äänimaailmaa ja vauhdin huumaa. Teoksen tausta muodostuu käsin maalatusta värivirrasta, jonka herkullisten pastellisävyjen inspiraation lähteenä on toiminut Tampereen kesäinen katukuva. Ding ding, matkaan!

I still sometimes feel like I'm burning money whenever I use the "better paint" or expensive markers, but by letting go of the mentality to save everything for the best works ever, many of the works I didn't put that energy into, turned out to be one of the "bests".

For any artist who might need to hear this: art supplies are ment to be used, be bold 🖌💖✨️!
