Sadly, that’s true. I had the privilege of spending a summer at an archeological camp working on the Cahokia site so there were definitely some impressive pre-colonial settlements. Cahokia was a bustling city built around trade from across the continent and beyond.

I always found it odd that for a country with so much space, we’re so quick to tear down and build over our history and especially the history of indigenous peoples

That’s what you get for living in the UK, surrounded by historical sites like this. If you wander around most of the US, you’ll be inspired to sculpt strip malls and parking lots

My son has requested that I teach him (very specifically) D&D. I’m fiercely torn between teaching him 1st Edition RAW with all of its deep flaws versus the most recent version with entirely different flaws but one thing is certain, the real villains are all going to be greedy selfish humans
