Yesterday at the grocery store a woman reached around me in the check out line saying “Ope sorry, just grabbin a pop” and while I miss Colorado in a lot of ways, I sure missed people saying “ope” and “pop”

I promise there are at least two lights in Boulder, CO where there is a pedestrian walk symbol while there is a green arrow or at least where the drivers have the ability to turn left on a green light

I agree! But I also think green left turn arrows during the pedestrian walk symbol is even more deadly. So many cars just barrel through without looking. A car came within less than a foot of hitting me once!

I think about this almost daily.

An icy blue sweater in stockinette stitch

Earlier this week I finished knitting my first sweater! 🎉 My goal is to make most of my own clothes to bring myself closer to the labor it takes to make garments, to create a wardrobe of sustainable fibers, and to build new skill sets and patience.

While I’m not sure what keeps drawing me back, I’ve lived in SC and Colorado and neither could keep me from coming back home. I gave up MOUNTAINS to be here!

I consider myself more of a sewist than a knitter so that sounds great to me!

I’m actually brand new to the knitting life (lifetime crocheter) so I better get working on my warming stripe project so I can join 😂
