The Triangulum Galaxy has a diameter of about 61,100 light-years making it roughly 70% the size of the Milky Way. Estimates for its distance from the Milky Way range from 2.38 to 3.07 million light-years, with recent estimates typically around 2.7 to 2.8 million light-years. Astronomers believe the Triangulum Galaxy could become involved in the predicted collision between the Andromeda and Milky Way galaxies over 4 billion years from now!
