Brave New World is Marvel returning to form. Not the strongest film they've ever made, but it leans into the work of world-building and the character's arc as opposed to pure spectacle.

Lots of spectacle, of course. But the story stands up as good, solid, pulpy, adventure.

Writing is the only hobby I have that MAKES money. All my other hobbies cost me money (Curse you Warhammer!). If it ever makes enough to cover the bills, well, then that'd be great.

But I'd write no matter what. Furthermore, I won't lie about the fact that getting paid for it makes it better.

I have a theory:

Trump believes being president is like being the host of "Whose line is it anyway?"

He thinks his job is to challenge the world with increasingly insane prompts like "Ukraine started the war with Russia!"

And our job is to go along with it no matter how stupid it is.

If we're all in a simulation, I'd appreciate it if someone could adjust the difficulty slider a skosh to the left.

My kid just had 11 baby teeth pulled. Groggy and confused, she asked one question once we got her settled on the couch:
"Can I hold Colin?"

A kid wanting to snuggle their pet when they are down is super-wholesome.

In fairness, I have a lot of negative things to say about both!

This Neil Gaiman thing is rough.

If it's all true, then he is a deeply broken human who has caused great harm without remorse and should not be permitted to roam. If 50% is true, he's merely a dangerous predator.

If only what he's admitted to is true, he's still pretty much a creep and asshole.

Stuck in traffic, realize I'm gonna be late for Dr. app. by 15 mins so I decide to call ahead.

On hold for next 22 mins. Upon pulling into parking lot:

"Yeah, you're 13 minutes late so you have to reschedule. You should have called ahead."

For the best, really. My BP would not have been good.

And 2025 is upon us.

Instead of "Happy New Year," I'm going with, "tuck your chin and keep your hands up."

Loved that one and all the sequels.

Gonna get super insane at one point. Just roll with it.

Here's a resolution you might actually keep:

Pick up a FREE novella from a small-time pulp author and kill 2 hours with the world's grumpiest army-surplus cyborg.

Worst-case, you don't like it and you've lost nothing. Best case? THERE ARE TEN MORE BOOKS IN THE SERIES.
