I'm biting the bullet and putting my money where my mouth is. My main rig is Windows 10. All the videos I've made so far have been Adobe-heavy in terms of software usage because I've had a whole professional career in them.

I was playing SPT for a bit, then PvE came out and I switched back. PvE solved like 99% of the problems I had with the game and keeps it feeling like Tarkov with season changes and wipes and having the Arcade tied in.

Fuck Microsoft and their predatory bullshit slowly rotting digital sectors and worshipping the AI golden calf.
Fuck Apple's ridiculous closed system and their openly anti-consumer practices.

We build the world we want to see. I want to see more folks take control of the machines in their lives.

I need to keep some instance of Windows 10 around because there's a handful of games I play that don't translate to Linux well (Tarkov REALLY hates if you don't have a windows license when it's running) but if folks are interested I might do a follow up with advice for converting for daily driving.

Next episode, I'll do my best not only to create it, but to document HOW I'm creating it, what software I'm using, and what problems I'm having based on how I would normally use the software.

Dual booting would be an option. Although I’ve heard the EA launcher is getting easier to run on Linux.

Literally just use steam in most cases.

I would start out with what’s on Steam almost all of it is now Linux compatible thanks to containers.

Ubuntu has a wide user base and a lot of little things that make it feel easier to use for beginner folk.

The final gun includes the conversion kit and a front carry handle front sight, although the positioning of it makes carrying it with it genuinely difficult.
