Same on both counts. Honestly, that cast is way better than it has any right to be. It’s stacked, and almost everyone is firing on all cylinders.

Yeah, I remember the 3D feeling super playful throughout. I always appreciated that. Ghostbusters: Answer the Call very similarly had proton streams come off screen, etc.

That was pretty good 3D back in the day, even for how dark the movie is at times. Tennant an Farrell are so good in it, that it makes up for some stuff I don’t fully love (McLovin…is fine…), but the update is smart and neat and cool. Love that was your first R rated movie alone!

With people being (rightfully) excited about #Supergirl, I’d be remiss if I didn’t remind people that Craig Gillespie also directed the criminally underseen 2011 remake of Fright Night. If you haven’t, please check it out! Terrific cast, and one of my favorite horror remakes.

First movie of the night!

There’s no place I loved seeing movies more than the Arclight cinema in LA. I made so many amazing memories there, and seeing movies there felt like magic. Real, cinematic magic. And every once in a while, you got to thank a cinema legend because they just might be roaming the halls too. Amazing. 🧡🤘🏼

Happy to report that #StrangerThings continues to rule. The first four episodes of the final season are really terrific so far, with four being a huge standout. It’s honestly some of the best storytelling the show has ever done, and the action sequence in it is bonkers. I’m thrilled.

Fangoria got into the eggnog a little early this year.

It's CLEARLY a Thanksgiving movie.

Candy was genuinely one of the greatest to do it. Period. It wasn’t a long flame, but it was an endlessly brilliant one full of so much talent and warmth. He could do anything, which made it all the sweeter. He could be the funniest guy in the room, and rip your heart out in the next scene. Genius.
