It’s another day ending in Y in which I must remind the world that Dial of Destiny, is in fact, actually a masterpiece and a perfect book end to the Indiana Jones franchise.

Overall, not necessarily a home run in the same way Thunderbolts* was for me, but it’s still a great time at the theater, and a great overall start for this team in the MCU. Very excited to see where they go next, because the possibilities truly feel endless.

But the rest of the movie basically picks that slack up in the end, and for its shortcomings on being cut down, the movie clips by at a pretty fast pace. I really loved the used of Silver Surfer as well. The action is very stylish when it comes around, especially the space chase.

The biggest issue for the film honestly is it’s too short. They cut it down to be lean, and the film suffers for it a bit. There’s a lot of loose threads that I’d liked to have seen more of, like Natasha Lyonne or Paul Walter Hauser. Stuff that really fleshes out their world.

I really, really enjoyed #FantasticFour: First Steps. When it’s great, it really soars, and that’s mostly down to a really great cast bringing the characters to life. Shakman really nails the tone and feel of the Kirby era with the retro future vibes, and good lord, Galactus!

Holy shit, #SouthPark really went there. That show isn’t on my radar much these days, but that season opener is something else. Goddamn, they went for it. I’m actually surprised.

Maybe I’m just stoned enough, but Hell House LLC Origins is legitimately terrifying in the best way. This is easily the best entry in the franchise. The filmmaking and storytelling truly upgraded here, and I couldn’t look away throughout. It fully captured my attention. I really loved it!
