Well, it all came together. I'm pretty happy with the way this Horizons ride vehicle came out. I found some images to use as reference for the back, although I didn't give it a ton of detail as it's gonna be pretty small as a print. Horizons really was an amazing attraction.

It's certainly up there on my list.

Oh boy. I'm finally working on the vehicle from Horizons at Epcot. When this attraction closed back in '99 I was pretty bummed, and when I discovered Hoot, Chief and their blog it was like, it Lives! And soon I'll have the vehicle to commemorate it!

Lego Disney Train

Did you know Lego made a Disneyland train (and station)? I'm pretty sure the engine is based on the CK Holliday. I have the train running around my nerd nest while the station is elsewhere. While I love the train itself, the station left a lot to be desired.

The Enchanted Tiki pole is still the largest thing I've printed so far. Modeling this was fun, although I'm still trying to figure out how to make it talk and move it's eyes. This actually makes me happy for both the nostalgia and the fact that it turned out as well as it did.

At the Marvel campus at DCA there used to be a pretty fun Dr. Strange magic show. The side door had this really cool cast member sign that I decide to build and 3D print. It's pretty big, though, and I think we're gonna try CNCing it instead. I know some sorcerers who can appreciate them!

So there was this show back in the eighties called Robotech (ne Macross) that I absolutely loved. Anyway, the pilots all drove around in this jeep thing and it's always been a favorite of mine. So I built this and printed it in 1/48 scale.

Animatronic kit from Bottango is a parrot named Maxwell

I got this Bottango animatronic kit to suss out a design for the eyes and mouth of a tiki pole I'm trying to finish, but once I opened it up and put it together, I was surprised how cute he was. When Teresa saw it playing through a routine, she broke into a huge smile and said it was adorable.

Spaceship Earth and World of Motion ride vehicles have been trimmed and are ready to send out to me! I can't believe how awesome they look. Jim has been very patient with me, running through design iterations. These are both built at the same scale, which shows how big the WoM vehicle was.

Joey @grymmstudios.bsky.social was a major contributor to the design of this wagon. It was his idea to add the antlers and other geegaws to this thing to make it look old and creepy.

Well, after five long days of tutorials, rage induced digital table flipping and deep self introspection I finally got the medicine wagon textured. There's a way to do this, and a right way to do this and I ended up choosing the former. Regardless, I'm almost done. UV unwrapping properly is... hard.

I just received a package from @designpavilion.bsky.social and I couldn't be happier! The torch looks like it jumped right out of the World Showcase.

Disneyland Jungle Cruise paper cutout and frame

I found this paper art Jungle Cruise diorama a few years ago and still love it. It's wasn't hard to put together, and it evokes some serious nostalgia. Disney doesn't own Wundersmack, but there's a lot of attractions from the park in paper form.

Powered EL panel, strip and wire over a Haunted Mansion logo

Welp, not sure this is gonna work out as intended. The EL strip isn't flexible, the EL panel isn't big enough and the EL wire isn't very bright. My Haunted Mansion plaque has discovered a roadblock.
