It's mentioned in the article, but I think it's worth highlighting that a 'Free Palestine' message *was* censored. So it's abundantly clear that it's something they were capable of doing, but actively chose not to do. Legitimately indefensible.

I don't think it's a remotely hot take to say that if prosecuting all those culpable in the Trump-Epstein files would lead to systemic collapse, then the system deserves to collapse and is in desperate need of overhaul and rebuild.

There is zero reason to believe anything this government says at this point. Until ICE activity *actually* ceases in Minnesota, words are meaningless. And even then, it's fairly obvious at this point the only reason to withdraw would be to start the same thing somewhere else.

This absolutely should not need to be said, but immigrants are not a *threat* to the US. Immigrants *are* the US, and have been since its inception. Being anti-immigrant is one of the most fundamentally un-American views a person can hold.

Joking aside, Sylphie is very affectionate and absolutely loves neck and ear scritches.

In happier news, I adopted this adorable void last weekend. Or perhaps more accurately, Sylphrena has tentatively accepted me as a co-resident in her new apartment.

I do have a soft spot for fae pronouns, but that is less gender-based and more fairies-are-cool-based.

A few neo-pronouns maybe come closer (xe or ze, for example), but still feel forced currently. It defeats the purpose of pronouns, imo, if they're no longer generic.

Is it fully accurate for me? Definitely not. But I'm not gonna be the one to try and shoehorn new terminology into a centuries-old language almost purely for my own benefit.

Spoken/written language is profoundly inadequate when it comes to gender identity tbh. I use they/them because it's what we have.

Side note: remember that judicial order restricting crowd control methods? Yeah, this pretty explicitly falls under that. I'm *totally* shocked they aren't following that order.

Side note for Canada: since Trump believes "just landing a boat" somewhere doesn't give you a right of ownership, I know at least one state that would happily accept adoption from our northern neighbors.

All that aside, if an array of legal experts can't definitively determine whether Renee Good was obligated to comply in that instance, how in the hell was she supposed to? And in what way was it remotely appropriate to murder her for not knowing?

The fact that this is even anything resembling an open discussion is abhorrent, because no officer in the United States has the authority to shoot an unarmed civilian who is driving away from them.

And the kind of transitioning one does can vary pretty wildly in both type and scope. It *can* be physical, but it doesn't have to be. It *can* be social (ie how you dress, act, etc.), but it doesn't have to be. And in either case, to what degree you transition is just a matter of what fits you.

But actually. This is all pretty well established science in mental health at this point. To the extent that not being cisgender can be recognized as a mental health topic, the scientifically-backed advice a therapist will give is to transition to match your gender identity.
