My setup for when I'm either gaming, doing OffKai Expo work, listening to music or just simply planning my next vacation. Finally got my workplace into a spot that I enjoy.

I still have some things to clean up like wires and location, but overall, finally done.

📊Overall, Discord is most valuable for reaching your hyper-focused / most engaged users. Organic growth and Viral content rarely transpire, and discoverability isn't as public as other social spaces. Somebody is less likely to join unless A. have something they want B. recommended by a trusted peer.

📊Data for a Discord community can be challenging. Discord and creators/businesses interpret data in vastly opposite ways. Creators value reach, growth, and interactions. A business values brand awareness, CTAs (click-through-actions), sales, sentiment, feedback, or retention/engagement.

⏰Word of mouth is the best way of getting new members involved in a community (outside of avenues like social). If an atmosphere is engaging and supports people being themselves (whether good or bad). Finding new ways to interact and get members involved is important to retain community members.

⏰Events can help an existing community become more engaged. I experimented with short-form, long-form, and educational content with members at Discord. Long-form and educational is best left for smaller audiences. Voice chat (I know it can be intimidating) gives a much more personalized experience.

⏰COVID and other factors has led to people embrace short-form content more. Patience is a luxury, as we have seen short-form content surge with TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and IG Stories. Your community is now in direct competition with this content, as well as with other Discord communities.

🗒️Typically, a creator should focus on their content & quality interactions with their members. Most creators tend to post announcements and never interact with their community itself. A simple hello or interacting 5 minutes a day goes a long way with your community.
