Strange nonny album from the early 70’s with uncomfortable lyrics and a half decent cover of Along Comes Mary.

Apparently the dude lived in a castle which probably tells you all you need to know.

Mostly great record from a comically dull movie based on an indecipherable book.

It was a fun day down at the shop today with some interesting records coming in including this one. We like to test all of our records here at the shop and this one is no different - luckily it came with handy instruction manuals, although I fear I may have put my hip out during the process.

Here’s a spooky thing - see those lights on the album sleeve? They’re not actually printed on the sleeve! Is it a supernatural phantasm manifestation?

This spectral subterfuge is out in the racks along with loads of other new vinyl this Saturday between 11-5. ‘Monster Mash’ is also in the jukebox

What a lovely surprise today to catch up with @paul_baines who came down to visit the shop. Paul and I worked at Crown Records in Crosby way back in the day.

Do you like Roses? I like the ones with caramel and hazelnut, but I also have these available at the shop - all near mint and some with postcards so you can post one to yourself in 1988 advising against those hemp dungarees and smiley bucket hat.

Fancy doing a bit of vinyl sleuthing?

I picked up a Prince collection with this set of vinyl sleeve design boards and metal printing sheets. It’s for a boot of The Black Album with altered track titles and issued by ‘Embassey Productions’ but I can’t find any evidence of it online.

Any ideas?

Alan has been to my shop and I gave him the copies I had. I could say we deconstructed the socio-anthropological importance of this tome in juxtaposing the futility of social investment versus the explosion of individualistic opportunity and consumerism of the time, but I think we just had biscuits.

Busy day of VHS quality assurance at the shop - with biscuits and tea.

I think some records were priced, I was too busy messing with the tracking.
