I do relate to Murderbot in that I like my job because it allows me to hide in my cubicle, watch shows, and not talk to anyone. Less so the murdering part.

The year is 2300. We no longer know what is historical fact and what isn’t because we’ve used AI to write everything and now Abraham Lincoln was in fact a vampire hunter, or was he? It’s unclear.

consider when CEOs lecture about productivity that they likely don’t do their own laundry, cook their own meals, do their own grocery shopping, etc… the true irony of having trouble with executive function is that for executives they have other people doing those things for them.

Just remember when people give productivity advice that they might be talking from a place of privilege they don’t even realize they had. I just moved into an apartment with a dishwasher and the difference not having to hand wash every dish makes is huge.

One of my favorite things about our second hand dining table is these little paint splotches from the previous owner’s children. It gives the set the perfectly lived in feeling so we aren’t too stressed about what we do on it and we’re just adding to its story.
