A morning in Dijon

The Porta Nigra, among the best preserved Roman military gatehouses, dates to 170AD. It was saved from quarrying because of St Simeon living out his life as a recluse in it and the subsequent conversion of it into a church. The gate was revealed through demolition of the church, ordered by Napoleon

Went to Rundetaarn in Copenhagen, Europe’s oldest functioning observation tower. Chatted with a guy briefly about danish explorers on the way down after which he was like “so are y’all autistic?” and sped off

We are staying in a offseason seaside family resort

The kind of place for a kind of town that serves weekend "nordic" getaways for Germans who dont want to go the extra hour to Denmark for it

We are still in the Lutheran zone of Europe so twin beds of course

the danish are lowkey indigeboos it seems but i fw it

The aquarium at Copenhagen was randomly open til nine so we just had the whole place to ourselves
