I'm sorry I keep asking for help, but I literally have nowhere else to turn. I am doing my best to get back on my feet, both literally & metaphorically, but that will be exponentially harder if I lose my apartment. I desperately need $482 for rent & enough utilities to avoid shut off. Please.
27.09.2025 13:26 β π 35 π 47 π¬ 0 π 8Mo is also an awesome bookseller and event host. And a lovely and brilliant person. I'm so thankful that she wrote some words about my own book.
26.09.2025 13:51 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Epic and Lovely and Every Anxious Wave are such different books and, to me, equally wonderful. You can learn more about her books and other writings at her website here... modaviau.com
26.09.2025 13:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Her newest, Epic and Lovely, is gorgeous and dark and intense and tender and wise. Yes, very dark, and yes, very funny - a great combination - and unputdownable... annieblooms.com/book/9781959...
26.09.2025 13:48 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The next person Iβd like to thank for blurbing my book is the amazing Mo Daviau. Her novel Every Anxious Wave is my all-time favorite time-travel book. Its highly imaginative premise opens into a surprising, deep, human story full of Moβs brilliant, dry humor... annieblooms.com/book/9781959...
26.09.2025 13:46 β π 5 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0I was so honored by his blurb for my book. Here it is in full: βYou turn the page like opening the door in a fun house. You never know whatβs on the other side, but you know it was not what you expected. Who Killed One the Gun? manages to be fun yet mysterious. Gritty and yet, somehow, spiritual.β
21.09.2025 18:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Another favorite recentish work is his book Grimm and Grimmer, which retells some of the well-known and not-well-known Grimmβs fairytales with equal parts respect and deadpan whimsy....
21.09.2025 18:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0He did the world a favor when he slid into the comic book genre, creating some of the most clever and funny and at the same time political and human stuff out there. Check out Vanishing Point, which puts me in mind of a modern comic book version of some of my favorite sci-fi old-time radio shows.
21.09.2025 18:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The story he wrote for the anthology I edited, City of Weird, a prehistoric epistolary mini odyssey titled βLetters to the Oregonian in the Year 30,000 BC,β is a perfect gem of Mark Russell humor and sensibility....
21.09.2025 18:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The next person Iβd like to thank for blurbing my book is Mark Russell. Iβve been a huge fan of Markβs work since his hilarious yet still reverent sendup of the Bible, God is Disappointed in You. I love his dry, sharp, but gentle wit....

20.09.2025 01:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0With his wife, he is also producing a live staged radio performance, "Scary Home Companion," a horror-themed send-up of A Prairie Home Companion, set in Lake Soul Begone (hee hee!). 17.09.2025 15:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0For my book launch at Powell's on October 7, I'll have foley artist David Ian accompanying my reading, and I'm so excited. A foley artist is someone who creates sound effects, and it was a big component of the production of old-time radio, which is the lens through which my novel is told...
17.09.2025 15:02 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0...What is staged on the page is a storytelling field that reminds us that we are all always already out of time, and that recreating stories is what saves us. As intellectually stunning as it is creatively playful. A genre and gender-bending brilliant beat of a book.β
10.09.2025 15:22 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Her lovely blurb (in 2 parts): βGigi Little just gave noir mouth-to-mouth. Who Killed One the Gun? resuscitates what was last best about old school radio noir with a spectacular post-genre kick. Characters are numbers, numbers lose their linearity, and time itself is laid bare as an echo chamber...

01.09.2025 02:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0His blurb: The most surprising book of the year: what begins noir-ish turns psychedelic, with the delicious time loop of Groundhog Day running darker, and stranger. Gigi Little has conjured a pocket universe of clocks and numbers, archetypes and subversions; WHO KILLED ONE THE GUN? is one of a kind.
