I've not been to 2510 in many years but would be surprised if anything has changed there, other than the age of the customers! Their 1% discount per year on birthdays has a constant stream of old folk going for cheap steak and lobster. At 61 I would be a youngster there!

Here is our old Giant Schnauzer, Plonker, accepting a treat. At his Prime he weighed 135 lbs and in play fights could get my head in his mouth! I'm 6'2" and his back feet are on the ground! He is sorely missed.

I don't get the cold either. It seems that a diet of curds and PBR makes people want to snowmobile, ski, ice-fish, snow-shoe and all the other icy nonsense designed to make one thirsty and craving fried cheese!

In my day Debenhams in Southsea was then Handleys and in Commercial Rd was Landport or LDB, as my gran called it. LDB stood for Landport Drapery Bazaar.

I see posts from old friends telling of how Commercial Rd/Arundel St have gone down hill in recent times. On my lunch in the Dockyard I'd often pass right by where your photo was taken for a burger at the Richmond Grill. Gone now, along with the Mecca and bowling alley.

I left in '89 and have only had brief visits since then, the last in 2007. Thanks for keeping an eye on things, though I suspect it to be a job for more than one!

Bought a brand name peeler on Amazon and was sent a cheap knock-off version. Sent it back & got a refund. Went to the real brand website and ordered there. Got a fancier version with free shipping for $3 less! Hmmmm.......

Mind blown that my wife's knee replacement surgery will have her walking back into our house, less than 10 after leaving. She is somewhat slower though! For now, at least.

Until recently the closest Indian restaurant was just over 90 miles (145km) away. Yesterday we tried the new one that is half the distance. It was terrible. Back to cooking my own!
