Kalosian forms for Tranquill and Unfezant. Tranquill looks like a light grey pigeon with a red and black mask and a red lizard-like tail Unfezant looks like a light grey pheasant with a midnight blue hood and markings and a red mask and lizard-like tail.

Summer Palossand is angrier looking and more angular. It has little metal diamond shapes, made from filtered metal found in the sand, embedded in its body along with golden clam shells it makes itself in its spare time. Its sand is red because of PEI’s iron-oxide sand. It’s a lot redder than PEI’s sand, but we can chop that up to more concentrated iron-oxide.

Winter Palossand carves its accessories out of coloured ice, so it doesn’t have metal in its body and loses the Steel type for ice. It still has a shovel though. This form has 2 towers behind it instead of 1 like Summer, and its has crudely formed “paws” at its side. It’s more cat-like in the face. I actually based it partially on Shiva guardian lions (and forgot to put that in the bio image).

Summer evolves from Sandygast when traded with a Metal Coat and Winter when you use an Ice Stone on him. They only show up in the late game areas, but regular Sandygast and Palossand can be found through the early game, particularly Mustard Fields.

They're split 50/50 on gender. Both are Ghost Type but Summer is Steel and Winter is Ice. Their shovels are radars, which allows each form to be used by humans for different purposes. Summer is kept on ships to help locate missing ships and Winter is set adrift to keep track on endangered species. It can drain careless trainers of their vitality.
