For now though, this January is far from the worst but wasn't the best either. There's been turmoil but also moments of joy. However, I think I agree with most. This January has felt endless.
The second project I've been working on is in early-stage development. However, I will say this. The workstation is going to be packed with capture cards in order to stream another game series that I played as a child. I have high hopes and aspirations for this project so it is slow going for now.

I'm a software engineer by day but a video editor and 3D designer by night. Such a workstation will allow me to render most anything for myself and friends.

I've already replaced the Threadripper with a new Ryzen CPU while retaining the 3090. This system will remain as my Gaming machine.

However, I have been spending some of my time playing Pokemon TCG Pocket. I obtained all four Immersive cards for Genetic Apex and had eagerly awaited the release of Space-Time Smackdown.

On January 14th I breached the 60,000 point threshold of the Raging Echoes League and obtained Dragon. I was determined to make it happen even during the middle of moving and the Holiday season.
The final tasks I completed to achieve Dragon? Maxing my account. The perfect bookend to my redemption.
Four years ago, I competed in the Trailblazer League and placed in Rune. I was distraught after placing in the second rank. Trailblazer was the driving force that pushed me to learn the game and Max. However, that pain of missing out on Dragon rank followed me everywhere I went.
Until last month.
Not long after moving out of the old apartment I completed a redemption arc in Old School RuneScape. I played the game back as a kid in High School and was one of the first to rally friends to join when they relaunched the servers.
I maxed in August 2023 and have played all but one of the Leagues.
Moving during the dead of Winter was the worst time to make this happen. The deep freezes and violent winds made moving things unbearable but my stubborn-self endured. Many of you are aware but I now reside in a modern two bed/two bath with a friend. Chief among the creature comforts, an elevator!

On the first of the month I turned in the keys for my old apartment. I had been living in a one bed/one bath alone for over six years. It was my home during the Pandemic, loss of my father, and beginning of my carrer.
Reflections:
I generally look back on Januarys with fondness. The return to routine after the holiday season, the beginning of another year, the swing back to longer days, and of course my Birthday.
However, this past January has the distinction of being my most involved.
