Which probably speaks to the lack of political direction you can give at an LA level.
Although voters are mainly making their choice based on an assessment of the national parties the only local element is a judgement of the ruling party's management.
He's (possibly unfairly) being swept up in a backlash against titled folk.

Slight tangent - but what is it with butchers selling custard slices?
Always struck me as a bit strange "Four slices of tongue, quarter pound of brawn and two custard slices please"
A long term benefit yes. But how many will go for the easier option of shedding 9,000? It gives a fairly immediate bump to the bottom line

It was a Ponzi scheme of influence on multiple levels.
Without (not always) the sexual abuse it is probably going on right now with many of the same or similar actors.
Least night's starting line up looks like our best ATM, but who is pressing for a place outside that 11?

Nobody, I mean nobody, hides.
It's a surprisingly uncommon quality for even good teams on good runs.
You can look at it from the POV of being willing to have a city break there and probably have the requisite hotel capacity that caters for business and pleasure.

In a debate already as contentious as what fist-sized portions of bread are really called, you want to lob in that grenade?

I wonder how many will survive as functioning items (see phone boxes).
I was there as our local post box was emptied last week.
It is in a typical suburban area and has just one collection a day. The postman removed what can only have been a maximum of 10 letters grasped in just one hand.
Was usually alley or back alley where I grew up in the North East. None of the ones mentioned for there or the North in general.

Went to a Former Players Association do a good few years ago. Him and Stuey Boam stood out as leaders and you could easily see why they had each been made captain.
RIP Gordon.

The reduction/sanctioning of benefits for young and older claimants who refuse (or are deemed to have refused) employment is decades old.
The contention comes in where and to whom you set the bar. It is probably too early, for even the DWP SoS, to have that detail.
No double entendres about Paddy's Hole????

Am I wrong that I feel I've missed out with my children now too old?
"It's awful but think of the (embroidered) anecdotes"
I increasingly believe that if Labour see no prospect of electoral success they may press the 'nuclear button' - as in a manifesto commitment to a customs union or similar but not outright rejoin EU.
It is an "if all else fails" option and would risk being seen as so.

I'll have a go with my half-baked theory ...
His game is so "on-the-edge" and full energy that he probably needs to be over 90% fit to risk playing him.
