05.03.2026 14:17 โ ๐ 18 ๐ 7 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I donโt oppose the use of genAI out of some kind of gatekeeping, but because its use is on many very practical levels harmful.
04.03.2026 20:47 โ ๐ 22 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I think genAI is bad at what it does and bad for the people who use it, but thatโs at best secondary to why I oppose it. Itโs also bad for the environment, bad for the artists whose work it steals, bad for the people who lose work to it, and bad for the underpaid humans who actually keep it running.

it finally happened: I got my first book club invite spam email. apparently I wrote a non-existent book called Through the Dusty Door. I haven't stopped laughing at this title ๐
BUT my debut short story was "The Void Door" over at @bcsmagazine.bsky.social back in 2023. I'm still so proud of it ๐ช๐
(A story about political power and might between nations and leaders.)

Even if you used AI to "write" a story and you got someone to publish it unawares, what exactly do you think that proves? This is no way an invitation, but unless it's replicable, and consistent, you're just one unlikely outlierโand it's the hollowest of victories, at that.
