This zine cannot be over soon enough. Honestly it's kind of soured me on working on other zines ever again which is BAD considering I've done other zines before but this one is just a fucking nightmare

Like the head admin isn't okaying art pieces until they have FLAT COLORS DONE basically like BRO. And then they keep critiquing the sketches and saying to change shit and it's like NO! DO NOT INTERFERE WITH THE ARTIST'S VISIONS WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU

All of this zine discourse happening today is just wild. Like I'm not involved is that one in particular, but I'm involved with one that's just. It's awful. It's a horrible experience but I can't leave bc I'm the only mod that's on the artists' side. Which is. Bad, to say the very least.

Mods- Stop chasing “professionalism.” Your zine isn’t a start-up. Let chaos happen. Let artists make weird, messy art. Let conflict resolve slowly.

Participants-Demand spaces that prioritize human connection over engagement. If a server feels like an HR department, leave.

Like they care more about getting high-level artists and profit and forgot that zines aren't supposed to be the same as a published comic.
