The turning point was a messy divorce leaving me and my other partner scrambling. We have had to rely on credit cards, a roommate who is no longer living with us, overtime, and a personal loan just to get by. Now, things are too much for us to handle. My partner is working damn near as much as physically possible, and I can only do so so much. I am disabled, mental health and physical pain. I do art full time and don't make a lot. Credit cards, loan payments, mortgage, vet bills, car damage, medical and more. Were truly struggling.

I always try to keep my spirits up but its hard, i really do need the help, were genuinely struggling and its been tough

Feeding America has a page where you can input your zip code and it'll show you all of the food banks near you overlaid on a map. If you need it, it's there. If you don't need it, think about donating money if you have it and your time if you don't.

If you have it please donate cash to the food banks. $10 in their hands will feed more people than the $10 worth of canned goods you can buy for retail prices. Also check on your elders. Many of them will not admit they rely on these programs so grocery gift cards or a surprise bag of staples

Adding to this, don't coopt things someone likes doing.

If someone has a hobby and slowly starts to ween off of it, don't just go "but WE liked seeing you do that" like okay? that just makes me feel guilty for wanting to no longer do something because other people liked looking over my shoulder.
