It’s taken too long for urban ecology to seriously investigate this rather obvious variable, but this 2020 paper by Chris Schell et al really reset the research agenda in this field. We’ve cited some of the more recent work following this in our paper.

The fur industry is big in both Canada and the US. They lobby with funds from many groups that believe wildlife are a natural resource for them to "manage", kill!
